Q. Is TrueHope Institute a registered charity?
A. Yes. TrueHope Institute is a U.S. registered 501(c)3 organization and can receive cash donations and gifts for our charitable purposes. View a copy of our IRS Determination Letter here.


Q. Will TrueHope Institute issue me a tax receipt for my donation?
A. TrueHope Institute will automatically send you an official email receipt for any gift donated online. A written acknowledgement for any gift over $250 will also be sent to the address you specify by January 31 of the following year in which the donation was made. Both the email receipt and the written acknowledgement can be used for charitable contributions on your personal or corporate tax return.


Q. Is donating online with my credit card safe?
A. Yes. We use the latest in technology (including a valid 128-bit encrypted SSL certificate) to protect your personal and credit card information. For added security, your credit card will not be processed online but will be done at our head office through a secure terminal provided by our financial institution. We do not store or keep your credit card number.


Q. Do I need a credit card to pledge my gift?
A. No. we accept personal checks, money orders, etc. Download and print a copy of our donation form and mail your gift to: TrueHope Institute, 234 Main Street, Shelby, MT, 59474.
